Seva Dekho Anti-Discrimination Policy

4. Definitions

  • Retaliation: Adverse actions taken against an individual for reporting discrimination or harassment, or for participating in an investigation of such a report.

5.1 Management Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the workplace is free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
  • Take prompt and appropriate action to address and resolve any reports of discrimination or harassment.
  • Provide training to employees on anti-discrimination and harassment policies and procedures.

5.2 Employee Responsibilities

  • Treat all colleagues, clients, and visitors with respect and dignity.
  • Report any incidents of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation to the appropriate authorities within Seva Dekho.
  • Cooperate with any investigations of discrimination or harassment.

6. Reporting Procedures

Employees who believe they have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, or retaliation should report the incident to their supervisor, the HR department, or any designated anti-discrimination officer. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly and thoroughly.

7. Investigation and Resolution

  • Confidentiality: All reports of discrimination and harassment will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality possible, consistent with the need to conduct a thorough investigation.
  • Investigation: An impartial investigation will be conducted to determine the facts and assess whether the behavior violates this policy.
  • Corrective Action: If a violation of this policy is found, Seva Dekho will take appropriate corrective action, up to and including termination of employment.

8. No Retaliation

Seva Dekho strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination or harassment or participates in an investigation. Any employee who engages in retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

9. Training and Communication

Seva Dekho will provide regular training to employees on this Anti-Discrimination Policy and ensure that the policy is communicated and accessible to all employees.

10. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws. Seva Dekho reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.
